pyHIDS 0.2
Posted Mar 2, 2013
Authored by Cedric Bonhomme | Site bitbucket.org

pyHIDS is a simple HIDS (host-based intrusion detection system) for verifying the integrity of a system. It uses an RSA signature to check the integrity of its database. Alerts are written in the logs of the system and can be sent via email to a list of users. You can define rules to specify files to be checked periodically.

Changes: It is now possible to check the output of commands ("iptables -L", for example) if you want to check the status of your firewall configuration.

It is intended to be portable and efficient with a focus on security and interoperability.
