DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Mktemp, which can be exploited
by malicious, local users to perform certain actions with escalated
privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application using the current
pid (process identifier) to create safe temporary files. This can
potentially be exploited to guess the name of temporary files and
perform actions with escalated privileges via e.g. symlink attacks.
The vulnerability is reported in version 1.5. Other versions may also
be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict local access to trusted users only.
