DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in IBM Informix Dynamic Server,
which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the oninit
process (port 9088/TCP) when processing arguments to the
"USELASTCOMMITTED" environment option in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long
argument.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code, but
requires SQL query execution privileges.
The vulnerability is reported in version 11.50. Other versions may
also be affected.

Restrict access to the service.
